"It would be expelled from Lazio Serie A"

ROME, KOMPAS.com - Lazio have been playing home games at the Stadio Olimpico, Roma, owned by the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI). However, Lazio president Claudio Lotito rate rents the stadium is too expensive and has applied to use the Stadio Renzo Barbera, Palermo City Government-owned, for home games in the Europa League 2012-2013.

Chairman of CONI, Gianni Petrucci, said that Lazio Renzo Barbera apply for use without discussing it first with the CONI. The measure, according to Petrucci, Lazio could be removed from the Serie-A.

"The problem is the same as before. Lazio did not contact (CONI) and at this level, they will be excluded from the Serie-A," said Petrucci.

In addition, according to Football Italia, it is unclear where Lazio will host home games for the Serie-A 2012-2013.

Stadio Olimpico last used for the Coppa Italia final between Juventus and Napoli, which ended 2-0 to Napoli on Sunday. Napoli were fined 30,000 euros, or about USD 352 million for abusing their fans anthem.

"Napoli supporters to do the doing, because insulting the national anthem is something unimaginable (will happen)," said Petrucci.
